Charges
The Charge against Mr Clayton Hutson was failing to maintain high standards of professional and personal conduct and justify public trust in him, his profession and the provision of legal services and/or failing to behave with honesty and integrity contrary to Principle 2 of the CILEx Code of Conduct 2015 and/or Principle 3 of the CILEx Code of Conduct.

The particulars were that on or about 15 June 2017, Clayton Percival Hutson engaged in professional misconduct and failed to meet the standards expected of the profession, having wrongfully used model answers, during the course of an exam.

Outcome
The charge was put to Mr Hutson and admitted.

Sanction
The Disciplinary Tribunal decided to issue both a Reprimand in relation to the Respondent’s misconduct, and a Warning in relation to his future conduct. He was ordered to pay costs.
