Disciplinary Records

The directory contains details of all CILEx (or previously ILEX) members, CILEx Practitioners, and Authorised Entities who have had a disciplinary decision made against them. Details of unsuccessful appeals against disciplinary decisions, where publication has been ordered, are also included in the directory.

All disciplinary decisions made against CILEx (or previously ILEX) members, CILEx Practitioners, and Authorised Entities are publishable for a period of time. The time for which they are publishable varies, depending on the type of sanction that has been made. CILEx Regulation has a publication policy. In some limited cases, the name of the CILEx (or previously ILEX) members, CILEx Practitioners, and Authorised Entities will not be published but the decision will be.

You can find out whether a person is either a Chartered Legal Executive (Fellow) or CILEx Practitioner by viewing the CILEx Authorised Practitioners Directory.

Please note the directories do not include any person who is a member of CILEx but has not reached the Chartered Legal Executive stage. Neither does it list any person who is no longer a Chartered Legal Executive.
